The Hoffman Center can only be a reality through the contributions of time, effort and money by individuals, families and businesses interested in furthering art, culture and education in our community.
Our capital campaign will ask full- and part-time residents, as well as other supporters and granting agencies, for their support. Contributions large and small will be gratefully accepted and put to good use.

Tax Exempt
The Hoffman Center is a tax-exempt public charity under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions, bequests, transfers and other gifts to the center are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Oregon Cultural Trust
The Hoffman Center is a member of the Oregon Cultural Trust matching gift tax credit program. The Trust offers a 100% dollar-for-dollar cultural tax credit for supporters of Oregon's cultural institutions like Hoffman Center. To take advantage of this program, an individual, couple or corporation would (a) make a charitable donation to Hoffman Center or other qualifying Oregon cultural nonprofit organizations, then (b) make a matching gift to the Oregon Cultural Trust. This generates both federal and state tax deductions for gift (a) and a tax credit of up to $500 per individual, $1,000 for couples filing jointly, and $2,500 for corporations for gift (b).
The donation to the Trust yields a tax credit which reduces Oregon State income taxes dollar-for-dollar. This table shows that a big benefit comes from a surprisingly small "net cash outlay."
